With the recent surge of positive COVID-19 cases in the state of Arizona, we are making some changes to our face covering policies effective Friday, December 11.
Due to recent observations, it is clear that despite our previous conditional face covering requirements (upon entry, when in any line and when social distancing cannot be maintained), many of our guests are not consistently complying with these rules. As such, effective Friday, December 11 and until further notice, we are instituting a MANDATORY FACE COVERING policy at all times. Face coverings are required for everyone age two and older* in all areas of the Zoo including upon entry and in any line formed to enter Zoo grounds, day and night. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS POLICY. We will have Zoo staff and security officers in place to remind guests of our policy. If you choose not to comply, you will be asked to leave the Zoo.
In addition to face coverings being required, please remember to stay six feet from other herds and flocks and wash your paws often! We appreciate your support of the non-profit Phoenix Zoo and hope you enjoy your visit. Stay safe everyone!
*Adults with children two to five years old must make a reasonable effort to assist the child with wearing a face covering.
